WISDOM FROM THE MASTER – SATCHEL PAIGE
In 1965 at the age of 59, Satchel Paige started a Major League baseball game for the Kansas City Athletics. He pitched 3 innings, faced 10 batters, gave up only 1 hit and no runs.
He left the game after those three innings as one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball history. He also left some of the greatest quotes ever.
“Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
“Don’t pray when it rains if you don’t pray when the sun shines.”
“Work like you don’t need the money. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Dance like nobody’s watching.”
“How old would you be if you don’t know how old you are?”
“Don’t eat fried food. It angries up the blood.”
