With Boston starting 2022 with 9-14 – where is all the money going
J.D. Martinez signed in 2018 for $20 Million for 5 years.
2022 started off rather normal although his average and home runs aren’t jumping off the charts.
Boston got exactly what they wanted in this overall contract however at the age of 34 and the end of his contract he is hoping to get another contract out of this season.
Sadly he wasn’t traded prior to the end of the season but I can’t see him coming back to Boston next year.
