Dexter Fowler is an outfielder who played with several teams. From 2015 to 2016, he played for the Cubs, often leading off. He had 30 home runs in those two years and batted .276 and .274, leading off game 7 in the World Series with a home run; the Cubs won the Series.

In 2017 the Cardinals signed him to a 5-year, $82.5 million contract. He replicated his Cubs production in his first season with 18 home runs and a .264 average.

By the second season, he was injured missing the final 60 games. He batted only .180. In his final two seasons, he was unable to bat over .240. Finally, the Cardinals traded him to the Angels in his 5th season, where he tore his ACL in April and only played in 7 games for the season.

$82.5 million, 5 seasons, 49 home runs, and batting average .240 in one season qualifies this as a “Swing Badder” contract.
